Expert water clean up
Whatever the reason for a water cleanup, the primary concern is always on personal safety. Because of the potential for electrocution and other hazards, you should always make an assessment as to whether it’s safe to remain inside the home or other building.
If there are any biohazards or other potential safety issues, you should call the water damage restoration professionals at Quality Restoration and stay outside the property until our professional water clean up team arrives.
Before cleaning up water
We can help to limit and reduce the damage, and we have the experience and equipment to quickly restore your property to normal use.
While awaiting our water clean up team, you should avoid using any household appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, and air conditioners.
Be especially careful not to enter rooms in which ceilings are sagging. If any ceilings are wet, you should avoid turning on overhead lights or fixtures in those rooms.
If it appears safe to do so, you can help limit water damage by wiping excess water from furniture. Also, any colored or dyed items should be moved away from surfaces to prevent their colors from “bleeding.”
You should also gather together small, loose items and papers and move them into a dry area. Leather and fur items should be hung in a dry place with plenty of air flow as soon as practical.
